Namco Taiko Blog (6 June 2013): Double CreoFUGA results!

After months of waiting, the results for both the 2013 CreoFUGA song composing contest and the April Fools DOKODON FIGHTERS song composing contest is finally announced!

Let's cover the smaller contest first, the April Fools one. The winner is....

...no one! Six entries stood out from the rest but the team could not decide on a clear winner and thus a tie was announced! Either that or it was a huge prank all along.

You can listen to the six entries here. Contest familiars Harunaba and MOES are among the six highlights.

Now for the other major one. Eleven songs were picked as the winners, and all of them will be used in the Taiko Tournament 2013 to be held later this summer. And the winners are:

• D's Adventure Note by Yomii (よみぃ)

• Calculator by matsuoka
• Aisowarai (愛想笑い) by Chiharu ver9.1.7 (ちはるver.9.1.7)
• Oozora to Taiko no Odori (大空と太鼓の踊り) by paraμ
• Debu Step! (でぶすてっぷ！) by Yaju (やじゅ)
• Eternal bond by Ryuwitty (リューイッティ )
• Karamari no Hana (カラ鞠の花) by Harunaba (はるなば)
• Bakemono Tsukiyo (化物月夜) by Kunikichi (くにきち )

Something's missing though...yes, our very own Packer's entry. None of his songs made it into the winner's circle, which is quite a letdown since his songs are of high quality too. Ryuwitty and Harunaba take another two spots, their third consecutive wins in a Taiko composing contests, sparking concerns that other talented composers would not get a chance with those two spots (and take up some sort of offer with Namco to create songs outside of contests like this)..
