GMT's Phase 1 on maimai and Groove Coaster

ゲーム ミュージック トライアングル

We already saw the first batch of songs for the Game Music Triangle on Taiko arcade, but how the songs will play in the other two arcades? That's what you are going to discover today!

Let's start with Densha de Densha de GO!GO!GO!GC!, the Taito song for the GMT collaboration. The video above shows the song being played on Hard mode, the most difficult one for Groove Coaster songs, featuring lots of fast-appearing notes in many different combinations, making the song difficult especially for the really short time that the players have to react to the incoming notes. Not to mention that the player's trail and the trippy imagery may distract 1st-timers as well!

For the Maimai gameplay of the songs, there are only low-quality videos recorded from the Maimai machines themselves, like this one!

Another LQ, external video is the best of quality footage we have so far for the Sega GMT song Fantasy Zone OPA!OPA! on maimai. Even for this rhythm game franchise, quick reflexes on the highest difficulties is what sort outs the experienced players from the beginners, and the GMT song's Master difficulty is no exception to the rule!

For Groove Coaster's take on this song, check out this video (on Nicovideo).

RIDGE RACER STEPS footage is available as well for maimai and Groove Coaster, but only on Nicovideo for a clear view of the songs' notecharts. We'll update this page if we find higher-quality recordings on Youtube.

On a side note, the two titles 'GAME MUSIC TRIANGLER' and 'GMT MASTER' can be won on GC and maimai as well, by playing the three songs during the same deadlines of the Taiko promo period!
