Much like with food, the Taiko Team seems to have a fascination for birds, when it comes to Original songs naming. And so, after Sorairo Version's Phoenix, here's another track titled after the legendary flying creature which has rise from its very own ashes.

Originally launched as Momoiro Version's first Don Challenge reward, Houou Tenbu Mugen Kuzure (lit. 'Infinite Collapse of the Heaven Dancing Phoenix') seems to bring back more than a simple title trope, as this instrumental song directly calls back to the traditional Japanese-styled song of the Butou series, complete with shouts and all! Thanks to 2018's Yaki-toumorokoshi Taiko soundtrack album, however, we can finally state that this isn't such a case, as its composer is a different individual altogether: Takahito Eguchi (江口貴勅).

Born in Nagasaki on August 28th, 1971, his career as a video game music composer began at Square-Enix, where he was enrolled from 1998 to 2003 for a number of popular titles' score, most notably The Bouncer and Final Fantasy X-2. Since 2006, Eguchi is working for the Sega Digital Studio, mostly making orchestral music for games in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise and the 3DS-launch music game Rhythm Thief & the Emperor's Treasure, more than often co-working with Tomoya Ohtani (大谷智哉), the current sound director for the Sonic game series.

Houou Tenbu Mugen Kuzure is sure to leave a stamp to its players' memories due to quite a surprising difficulty spike for the 9-star Oni tier; although if not gifted with Forked Path notecharts on any mode, the difficulty easily cranks up with Oni mode's sporadically-appearing 1/24 clusters for some serious combo-breaking portions right before the last Go-Go Time zone's beginning and the song's end!
